Lynda Dodd Head Coach

has been involved with gymnastics, both as a competitor and a coach for nearly thirty years, and she is completely dedicated to the welfare and success of her gymnasts. This commitment is shown by her continually upgrading her coaching skills (she achieved her Level 1 qualification in March 1998, confirming her as the most highly qualified Sports Acrobatics coach in Wales). Lynda was awarded Female Coach of the Year 1996 by The Sports Council for Wales.

The club is proud that Lynda's worth is well recognized outside Wales, as she has, on several occasions been invited to coach at Great Britain `B' squad training sessions.

Lindsay Haveland

Parent who became involved in coaching because her daughters were involved in competition. Coaching for eight years (with club even longer), she now has reached level 3 coaching standard.

Frieda Stephens (Administrator)

Without her the club would grind to a halt, she has won the Meirionydd & Gwynedd administrator of the year award for her dedicated work.

Several of the older gymnasts have gained qualifications by attending coaching courses. They are Emma Story, Level 4, Siwan Heath, Level 5.

  • All Level 4 coaches and above must be full members of the BGA for insurance purposes.
  • All gymnasts must be members of the BGA for competition and insurance purposes.
  • All competition planning and programming is the responsibility of the senior coach.
  • All fundraising is done by the Parents Committee.
